Tied on a 3xl size 6 "all-purpose" hook. Hollow metal bead head for a SLOW sink rate. Tail is black marabou and black krystal flash. Body leftover marabou from the tail, furled and wrapped around the shank. Hackle is black saddle hackle. Rib is Brassie-sized silver wire.

Jig Man, I have black, red, chartreuse, olive, copper, and pink KF. I also have some UV Pearl midge flash.

Pup, I tied up 6 of these today for a friend. I did two, then remembered I had bought a spare bobbin several weeks ago. I loaded the wire into the bobbin, then proceeded to tie the remaining flies. My ribbing came out much neater, and, NO WASTE! Gotta remember this trick. I've seen folks do this with chenille as well. Load the chenille onto an empty thread spool, and load that into a bobbin. I'm going to need to do this in a few weeks when I start working on the big order I have in.

I am going to keep your post in mind Allen. I think that ribbing a bass jig has wonderful potential and using your wrapping method seems like a great way to accomplish that. Again, nicely done. :icon14: :icon14:
